You should clarify your reasons for liking Macs better. It is only fair to set up a debatical starting point.

well one of my reasons is that macs look nicer and they run faster.

I saw this thread just today and it is with great trepidation that I post to it... I do not intend to state anything on the topic of the two companies products in question.

However, I do want to point out in all seriousness the arguing style of all the posts on this thread. Everyone who has posted so far has acted wrongly by not posting in such a way as to have valuable and good discussion. Instead a somewhat childish, if I may say so, method of arguing through the use of 1 line posts has been used. I believe its been said before that if all you are going to post is one or two sentences it isn't worth posting.

Everyone here is a Christian and should strive to act and post to a higher standard than this thread portrays. I know all of you well enough to know that you are capable of carrying on a useful and thoughtful argument. Why aren't you doing that here? Instead, with your one line posts the argument just becomes a game of:
Yes!
No!
Yes!
No!
Mac!
PC!
and so on... If you are going to argue with someone both sides have to come to an agreement upon something and work from there for either side to be convinced. You have to spend the time to portray your side clearly and definitively so that no straw men(Misrepresentations of your views) can be set up.

It should be obvious to all of you that the argument is one that can go no where. I strongly suggest that everyone who has participated in this thread stop arguing in the current fashion and either let it drop or do some more research in the subject and create a balanced view.

In my eyes the reason this argument is so ongoing is that it is similar to comparing apples(No pun intended) to oranges. Both are fruit(computers) however, they have distinct and unique properties that make it very difficult to compare one to the other. Even though this is true a persons preference may be to like the orange more than the apple and that's just fine. If you truly understand that analogy I think you can see why this mindless arguing is so pointless.

This thread is breeding strife for no good reason and should be stopped by all its participants after a realization of what I've written above and how you've been acting.

I sincerely hope you all will listen to my rebuke without taking it wrongly and take action by no longer continuing posting to this thread.

Note: As I wrote this post I had no intention of hurting anyone's feelings or harming someone in anyway. If that is what you feel it was certainly not my intention. This post was only written as a rebuke from how I see the thread and nothing more. However I hope you will take my thoughts on the subject to heart.

Michael, I agree with you completely. I think that if people want to discuss things on this thread (or any other thread, for that matter), that they should make posts with solid content, and no "Yes!, No!, Yes!, No!" stuff. I think that there has been a problem with this in more threads than just this one, and I am glad that you made this post. This thread was breeding strife, and some of the participants said things like: "Your mean...I HATE MACS!!!!....MACS ARE THE BEST!!!!.... etc."
Again, I am glad you voiced you thoughts, and made this post.

P.S. I do admit that I used to, and did some in this topic do the same "one sentence arguing" that you talked about in your post. However; I edited those post to have more constructive content, and am trying not to do that anymore.

I don't believe the intent was to start an aurgument, but it's just that some of us have stronger OPINIONS than others, and although I still perfer PCs, macs are still a computer, and as the constitution of the United Computers of America states, We hold these truths to be self evident, that all computers are created (almost) equally.

P.S. This is not meant to create another aurgument, just a joke. Seriously though, there is not THAT much difference between the two.

I just like PCs because we have had them for, like, forever in our house, and I am used to the way they work. I wouldn't know a Mac if it bit me. (which would be unlikely) And I would be totally lost if anybody ever plopped me down in front of one. Of course, I would probably figure it out quickly enough *rambles on* Okay, now I will close my mouth. *snaps shut*
