When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

When the principles that run against your deepest convictions begin to win the day, then the battle is your calling, and peace has become sin. You must at the price of dearest peace lay your convictions bare before friend and enemy with all the fire of your faith.

Really? Well, here is another.

 Re: Quotation and Commentary
"Adversity toughens manhood, and the characteristic of the good or great man, is not that he has been exempted from the evils of life, but that he has surmounted them." -Patrick Henry-
I drew this quote from "Give me Liberty" by David Vaughan. It was written by Henry in a letter to a friend "who was experiencing business problems", just had Henry had done earlier in life...he actually had a failed business 3 times before he realized that God was calling him to be a lawyer.
I think that this applies to us in all of our interactions in our daily lives. We should not be put down when we encounter adversity, rather it should draw us up and make us into true servants of God.
